Brock Lesnar will make his next title defense against Cain Velasquez at UFC 121.

UFC president Dana White confirmed with MMA Fighting Friday night that the heavyweight title fight will take place at the yet-to-be officially announced event, scheduled for Oct. 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

Lesnar, 5-1, is coming off a riveting second-round submission win over Shane Carwin at UFC 116 last weekend in Las Vegas. Prior to the win, he had been on the sidelines due to a battle with diverticulitis.

Meanwhile, Velasquez most recently knocked out Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110 in Australia this past February. The American Kickboxing Academy member is a perfect 8-0 in his MMA career.

The last UFC event to be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim was UFC 76 in September 2007, which was highlighted by Keith Jardine's upset win over Chuck Liddell.

I think Velasquez is going to get crushed. But I still hope he wins! Just not putting any money on it.

Cool, cant wait. I think Cain will train his ass off to this fight and Im not so sure brock will run over him as easily as everybody think. Cain has the right mentality thats for sure, and I think he has a shot as good as any of the last opponents brock had, if not better. For each fight Brock exposes more and more of his weakneses. One of the reasons its hard to defeat him is defenitely because he has very little time in the cage doing pro fights and there are few examples of people hurting him in any way. Off course brock is also getting better each time hehe. But anything can happen so Im hyped for this fight

I am a bit sad though, this card seems to be getting awesome and rumours were this event was to be held at Oberhausen, Germany. Now it seems to be Anaheim.

Would not have mind going to Oberhausen with a card like this. Seems to be a better card than UFC 120 so far.

UFC 120 seems to be free in the states, so it probably wont be the best card.
