UFC fighter Nate Diaz is expected to be hit with a $7,500 fine for his involvement in the post-fight brawl at the ‘Strikeforce Nashville’ event in April, according to MMA Junkie.

The Tennessee Athletic Commission is expected to hand out the fine in the near future.

Diaz’s manager Cesar Gracie told MMA Junkie: “Probably we’ll pay the fine and move on… They could probably not let him fight in Tennessee in the future, but they can’t suspend him from fighting.

“He wasn’t a second. If we were get to the nitty-gritty, that wouldn’t hold up in a court.”

Wouldn't hold up in court... Pfft!! All the prosecution would have to do is play the footage that got beamed out to everyone watching at home, clearly showing Nate laying some vicious kicks into a downed and largely defenseless Miller.

The whole thing is ridiculous and everyone involved is to blame, so by the same token everyone should just accept their punishment, pay up promptly and get on with it. This "probably we'll pay the fine..." bullshit is just that. Really comes across as petulant and childish.
