TUFF-N-UFF – THE FUTURE STARS OF MMA RETURNS TO SAN DIEGO WITH A STACKED FIGHT CARD!
The Observatory at North Park hosts Tuff-N-Uff 148: Smotritsky vs Green as pro MMA main event. Tuff-N-Uff is excited to welcome fans back to San Diego, California for the first time since July 17, returning to the iconic Observatory North Park for another unforgettable night of fights. On Friday, September 26, ‘The Future Stars of MMA’ take the spotlight live on UFC Fight Pass with Tuff-N-Uff 148, headlined by a thrilling 175-pound professional catchweight main event between Shimon Smotritsky and Troy Green.
With top prospects, high-level talent, and an electric atmosphere, Tuff-N-Uff once again brings world-class MMA to San Diego, showcasing the next generation of fighters destined for greatness.
A high-stakes main event with Israel’s Shimon ‘Assassin’ Smotritsky (11-4) takes on New York’s Troy ‘The Ghost’ Green (7-4) in a professional 175-pound catchweight showdown. Smotritsky, who earned two Bellator victories in 2018 and 2019 before testing himself on Dana White’s Contender Series, has since gone 2-1 with Fury FC and looks to rebound in style in the Tuff-N-Uff cage. Standing across from him, Green enters determined to snap a two-fight skid in A1 Combat and reignite his rise toward the sport’s biggest platforms. With both fighters hungry to get back in the win column and make a statement, this main event promises fireworks.
The co-main event will feature an exciting welterweight showdown as Leon ‘S.O.G.’ Shahbazyan (10-4) takes on veteran Glaucio ‘Salva Mar’ Elizario (10-8). Shahbazyan, who first competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019, has been flawless under the Tuff-NUff banner in 2025, earning back-to-back submission finishes and now seeking his third straight victory. Elizario, who burst onto the professional scene in 2011 with a dominant five-fight win streak and has secured nine victories in his first thirteen bouts, is determined to turn the tide after a recent rough stretch. Hungry to get back to his winning ways, Elizario presents a dangerous challenge for Shahbazyan, setting the stage for a high-stakes clash that could steal the show.
A can’t-miss feature bout is set as rising bantamweight star Khuseyn ‘Shy’ Shaykhaev (12-1) of Grozny, Russia, faces off against Brazilian standout Anderson ‘Tio’ Segatto (8-4). Shaykhaev, boasting an impressive 12-1 professional record with his only loss coming by decision, enters the cage riding a dominant six-fight win streak under the ACA promotion. Standing across from him is Segatto, a three-time X-Fest featherweight champion, who looks to build momentum and extend his win streak to three with a statement victory. With Shaykhaev’s relentless consistency and Segatto’s championship pedigree, this international clash promises to deliver fireworks and high-level action.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to bring Tuff-N-Uff back to San Diego and showcase our fighters at such an incredible venue like the Observatory North Park,” said Tuff-N-Uff President Jeff Meyer. “San Diego has such a passionate combat sports community, and our goal is to deliver an unforgettable night of both professional and amateur MMA action that truly reflects the energy of this city. With the event streaming live on UFC Fight Pass, we’re not only giving local fans an opportunity to see future stars up close, but also shining a spotlight on the talented athletes who are on the cusp of reaching the highest levels of the sport. We’re excited to make a lasting impact on the San Diego MMA scene and can’t wait to see the crowd come alive on September 26.”
