Only thing i dislike about him is when he's screaming the big kaboosh like 20 times and 10 times more after breathing for air.

Speaking of commentators repeating things, they all do it.
Listen to Joe Rogan (who I think is a great commentator) how many times he says right on the button.
The voice, Michael Schiavello is a great commentator. If you think Bas should replace him, great. But it's not going to happen. Bas is too busy training people in his gym, doing weekly Inside MMA tv show and living in the states. Michael lives in Aussieland, and pretty much only covers fights in Asia (sometimes European K-1 events) He is Bas and Kenny's replacement. Bas usually covers MFC fights, but a few months ago, Bas went to Aruba to cover some other lesser name organization that had a tournament down there...that sent Michael Schivello to Edmonton for the MFC event.
The voice knows his Thai kickboxing and he is great at filling time. It's not like his co-commentators are that talkative. And he covers over 3 hours of fighting.
I find him an entertaining guy, a little too much kayboch and goodnight irene, but it could be much worse. I have seen some smaller events in the states where 2 guys have no idea what they are talking about, don't announce the fight and sit there saying ohh and ahhh.
I like Mauro Renalo better, but dude is CBS/Showtime now, so no HDNet covered fights for him.
Matter of fact, Bas doesn't really commentate, he color commentates, he does not do the play by play like Schiavello does.
If I had to rank em for color commentators, I'd go:
Joe Rogan Mauro Renalo (when they allow him, on CBS Gus and Frank are trying to take his spot) Michael Schiavello Stephen Quadros then there is the rest (WEC commentating can be hit or miss...Mir can be annoying or not bad...I miss Lil Evil commentating...but he didn't play by play commentate too much)

I personally think Michael is pretty lame and obnoxious with the metaphors, etc. It detracts from the event a bit. But that said, Joe Rogan says the same things over and over. Almost every post-fight interview with Joe involves it undoubtfully being the toughest fights of their career ….. I miss Bas.

FIGHTER: Yeah, pretty much [TECHNIQUE] was my gameplan. JOE: Take a look at the big screen and talk us through some of [TECHNIQUE]. FIGHTER: "Yeah, uh, [HAM HANDED EXPLANATION OF TECHNIQUE]" or [THANKS SPONSERS AND DOESN'T ANSWER QUESTIONS] JOE: Well it was [A GOOD FIGHT / IMPRESSIVE VICTORY] and we look forward to seeing you again!
