He grew up in Spain in the coastal town of Altea, but is now doing his training in The Netherlands at MMA Vlaardingen, under Ricardo Wondel. Prior to joining Bellator MMA, Costello compiled an 8-1 record, finishing most of his opponents. John Salter (16-4-0) a submission master, getting all his wins in Bellator via submission, is a UFC veteran with an extensive wrestling and grappling record.
