years ago, prob 12 - 13 years ago i was watching some sort of MMA on Eurosport in the UK, it wasn't in the an octagon, it was in a boxing/wrestling ring

no idea what it was called, if anyone can refresh my memory of what it was called, that would be great

I think we are talking about Pancrase events here. I remember watching those as well.

I believe you may be remembering Total Combat it was in and Octagon with Ropes. Hope this helps

I forgot all about this, not sure what it was, i do remember watching a tall skinny guy who was bald from the Netherlands maybe (for some reason the Netherlands comes to mind, don't know why), can't remember if he had tatts or not, but was just as good on his back as he was standing up

i remember if they got to close to the ropes or ended up under the ropes, the ref would stand them up, move them to the center of the ring and put them back in the same position


no, was def MMA, always had a mix of Martial Arts, card at the beginning would show what they had trained in or at least what form they were fighting in or most prominent in

Ok so.. Older MMA with bald guy from Netherlands = Bas Rutten, so you are probably thinking about Pancrase or PRIDE as previously suggested..

i checked out Bas Rutten earlier, that guy is huge, build wise, def not him

i remember something like that quite a few years ago on eurosport,was definately european mma.
i cant remember much about it though, just what has already been said.

just to mention a few, there are a couple on the list that is a possible contender for the show in question but i think ieven if i did see thename of it i dont think id remember it unless i saw it on tv again.

i remember watching one a few years back that was in an octogon shape but it had no cage or rings round it, instead the sides was rised slightly giving the edges a slant.
