God I love this site! Like minded MMA fans that understand WTF I'm talking about when I discuss MMA.
So here's my question: What are the top 3 greatest battles of all MMA modern history? I mean in any weight class, any event?
In other words, if you could only show me 3 fights to represent the excitement, athleticism, and awesome public spectacle (all of it) of the sport, what would be the 3 fights you picked?

That Sanchez - Guida fight had me standing up in my living room, shouting at the TV and throwing popcorn.

I really enjoyed Brown v. Faber, in June of this year. It was their second fight and Faber severely injured both hands, to the point that he could only throw elbows the last round. It was quite the brawl. WEC 41 I think?
Oh, two more? The Griffin v. Rua really Showed Forrest coming into his own as a fighter, realizing what an asset it is to have heart and determination in the octagon. Third would have to be Matt Hughes versus Frank Trigg 2. Matt took some huge hits and got suckered in the cupsticles, came back from a rear naked choke and ended up finishing Trigg in one. It really was a beautiful fight to watch, especially because Matt Hughes is so technical on the ground.
There are probably more important fights, better rights, but those stick in my mind as recent bouts I enjoyed very much.

There are some Rampage, Wanderlei, Henderson and others, very awesome fights in Pride but Im too stupid to remember exactly when or against who. Randleman in pride did some awesome fights, jesus, its a hard question. Sometimes I can enjoy a prelim or unaired more then many mainnevents. I have seen Joachim Hanssen in some hot fights too. Let me think on

Frank Shamrock vs Tito Ortiz is one of my favourite fights because it was basically the first huge fight in the UFC, and was packed with action. I loved it.
Royce Gracie vs Kazushi Sakuraba @ PRIDE Grand Prix 2000 - Finals, was a 1hr 30 min epic battle.
The slam that Randelman done on Fedor @ PRIDE - Critical Countdown 2004, was insane; pity the fight ended so soon.
And the recent first round between Sanchez and Guida @ TUF 9 Finale gave me goosebumps. That fight was sick!
