Why are people being charged a loss for the Ring - Phillipou fight that didn't even take place? Shouldn't the results be based on 12 fights and not 13? Just wondering.
They are.
If you have 13 fights and give every participant in the competition the same result, wrong, on one of the fights no matter what they picked, they all have 12 fights left.
So each player can get can max 12 correct fightpicks.
The winner(s) of the competition is the one(s) that has closest to 12 correct picks.
Results are hence based on 12 fights.
Wouldn't it just be better to take a cancelled fight out of the equation instead of counting a loss against everyone ?
reason I ask is I was late to the party so i'm going for highest percentage over the year, having cancelled fights counted as a loss against me hurts those percentages, why not go the other way and count it as a win for everyone ? it would be just as inaccurate so taking the fight out of the total would work best.
