MICHAEL BISPING has vowed to get back to winning ways at UFC 105 in Manchester. The Brit was knocked cold by American veteran Dan Henderson at UFC 100 earlier this month and the defeat scuppered his hopes of a middleweight title fight against champion Anderson Silva.
But the 30-year-old Lancastrian has vowed to bounce back in style at his home town show on November 14 — and is even eyeing up a rematch against Hendo further down the line.
Bisping said: "I'd love to rematch with him right away, and as crazy as some people would say I am, I'd be just as confident as I was before the first fight.
"But Dan has earned another crack at the UFC middleweight title, he's had three goods wins and if you check back to what I was saying at the time, I thought he was winning the last fight with Silva and would like to see that fight again.
"Good luck to him, but I will chase a rematch with him, believe me."
Henderson, 38, admitted he was pleased to with his devastating KO of Bisping following a perceived lack of respect and class from the Englishman in the build up to their clash.
But Bisping maintains he is confident he has what it takes to beat the best middleweights the UFC has to offer in the future.
He added: "Fair play to Dan, he caught me and knocked me out. Everyone saw it. It is a setback, I am p***ed off, I was close to a title shot but I will be back.
"I want to fight in my hometown of Manchester in November and I want a top opponent, I don't want to go back down a level.
"I know I can compete with the best and want to prove that right away.
"The worst has happened to me. It doesn't get any worse than my last fight, so what's to worry about next time? If anything, this will make me more aggressive in my next fight."
SunSport has been informed by sources close to Bisping that former Pride champion Wanderlei Silva is one of the names being considered for him to face in the main event at the MEN Arena.
The Axe Murderer is 1-5 in his last six fights but is expected to drop down to the 185lbs division for his next bout.
Canadian Patrick Cote is another name being touted as a possible opponent and The Count warned: "I feel really sorry for whoever I fight next.
"I am a little embarrassed, I'm p***ed off, and I just want to fight as soon as can be.
"I am going to have a little family holiday, then back in the gym. I'll be back, Manchester here I come." source: The Sun
