On flavored milk -- I saw a pretty good study just recently that placed chocolate milk at the top of the list for recovery drinks. I don't remember who did it, but seemed like they did a pretty thorough job. If I can find it, I'll post a link.

I got back to the gym today. Finally after a long vacation where I got chubby. I felt great!!

If I had some extra money I would just use protein whey powder in the morning and afternoon and casein at night. I would get Optimum Nutrition 100%. That's the best formula theoretically speaking.

Now though my diet is great: breakfast is oatmeal. I eat a normal lunch (meat/poultry/pork/fish, and rice and beans/chick peas/lentils/ and soup and salad). in the afternoon avocado/strawberry/banana juice with some whey powder (just a scoop) and at night I eat oatmeal, eggs, and sardines.

I think I am going to increase my protein intake in a few weeks when I start lifting more. I'll buy peanuts and raisins and eat another two eggs in the morning.

I think milk is poisonous to your muscles and slowly kills them off and that's why I don't drink it. but it's delicious. I eat whole eggs because the yolk is my favorite part and it's actually supposed to be uber healthy for you.

As far as I understand there are lots of estrogens in milk. I think its the same with eggs though. There is much protein in eggs though but also fat. The so called experts here say, that you should not eat more than one egg per day, as it can increase cholesterol.

perhaps I exaggerated A LOT.

i remember reading that karelin drank a gallon of milk after his early morning jog and he had an illustrious career and is probably the greatest grappler of all time. did it kill his muscles? no it didn't. in fact it probably helped him be 6 foot 3 with a 7 foot reach and the ability to pick up 120 kilo men off the floor like rag dolls.

the milk industry is amazing. they have so much money and they churn out so much propaganda that it would be useless for me to point you somewhere since there is no doubt the milk industry has tampered with the world of science with their deep pockets.

it's like cancer and other diseases. there is only "one" treatment which is supposedly chemotherapy. the drug companies have such a huge influence on the market that you'll never hear about natural cures. don't get me wrong people who smoke a pack a day for 20 years are going to fucking choke on lung cancer and die without any salvation natural or not and not all drugs are bad but the influence makes impossible to know for sure what can be truly helpful.

it's like eggs and cholesterol. big companies want you to believe that high cholesterol will cause heart attacks but I can tell you this for sure: heart attacks happen to fat asses who don't enough healthy foods and don't exercise and who abuse trans fats and sodium and sugar. That's it. I had friends whose fathers died of heart attacks and that's the damn truth. You think a pill can save your fat, lazzy, glutton ass from heart attacks? no way but drug companies make it seem that way.

if you have a "high" cholesterol level it could mean a lot of things and it could possibly have NOTHING to do with having a heart attack.

OPINION: so is milk unhealthy? from a happy, grass-fed cow? in fair amounts probably not. but I don't think it's a better source of protein than whey powder or eggs or chicken or casein powder. I honestly don't know the truth about Milk. Only the guys working for the Milk companies do.

/end of rant
