Former Sengoku fighter Maximo Blanco will make his featherweight debut at UFC 145 in Atlanta. He faces former Ultimate Fighter competitor Marcus Brimage.
The bout was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fight on Thursday with verbal agreements in place for the April bout.
Maximo Blanco will make his UFC debut in April after one fight in Strikeforce last year that resulted in a loss to Pat Healy, but also convinced him to move down to 145 pounds.
A fierce striker with underrated wrestling, Blanco is known as an aggressive fighter who always creates fireworks when he steps in the cage.
Brimage was one of the most outspoken fighters during the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter, while also being an explosive striker with knockout power.
Brimage took out former housemate Stephen Bass at the TUF 14 finale, and will look to make it two in a row in the Octagon in April.
More bouts are expected to be announced for UFC 145 in Atlanta in the coming weeks.
