Even if the UFC is more of a known entity today than it was five years ago, many of their lower and mid-level fighters still keep additional jobs to help pay the bills. Jacob Volkmann is one of those fighters, keeping up with a chiropractic business and a wrestling coach position at White Bear Lake High School in Minnesota.
He'll have a bit more free time on his hands as he revealed on Twitter that he's again been placed on administrative leave from the school following a joke he made about U.S. President Barack Obama at UFC 141.

Following his unanimous decision win over Efrain Escudero on the Facebook prelims, Volkmann told Joe Rogan that Obama needed a "glassectomy". Rogan asked what that was and was told, "It's where they remove the belly button and put a piece of glass in there so you can see what you're doing while your head's up your ass."
Volkmann famously was visited by the Secret Service after saying someone needed to "knock some sense into that idiot" (Obama) in a post UFC 125 interview with Ariel Helwani, a clip that made it on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was put on paid administrative leave by the school and was allowed back a week later after agreeing to abide by certain rules in the future. According to MMA Fighting, he makes $1800 per year for being a coach.
After losing his first two UFC fights, Volkmann (14-2) dropped to lightweight and is on a five fight win streak.
