Yeah there were a whole lot of names on the list... far too many. The thing about Run-DMC is they broke the barriers with their Aerosmith collaboration, bringing together the "white" music of the day and the "black" music, and well, created the Wigga What was most shocking to me is Jay was an old man too... and hardly gansta... so getting shot was mind boggling, let alone dying.

Having said all that, probably what made these men legends was the fact they went out on top, rather than making us watch rich old men pretend to be young angry kids...
