MMAWeekly has obtained the fighter salary information from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for UFC 106 featuring the light heavyweight rematch between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin, which took place on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas.

The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners' bonuses.

Although mixed martial arts fighters do not have collective bargaining or a union, the fighters' salaries are still public record, just as with every other major sport in the United States. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions (specifically, pay-per-view bonuses, fight of the night bonuses, etc.), are not included in the figures below.

In the listings below, "Main Event Fighters" are defined as fighters who compete in the main event of a show. "Main Card Fighters" are defined as fighters whose fights appear on the main card, but not in the main event. "Preliminary Card Fighters" are defined as fighters whose matches take place before the main card goes on the air, regardless of whether or not those matches end up airing on the TV or Internet broadcast.

MAIN EVENT FIGHTERS

-Forrest Griffin: $250,000 (includes $150,000 win bonus) def. Tito Ortiz: $250,000*

MAIN CARD FIGHTERS

-Paulo Thiago: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus) def. Jacob Volkmann: $6,000

-Antonio Rogerio Nogueira: $100,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus) def. Luiz Cane: $19,000

-Amir Sadollah: $30,000 (includes $15,000 win bonus) def. Phil Baroni: $25,000

Tito is a legend and a name but 250000 is stupid money not worthy of that in my opinion if you are not 100%

Tito WAS 100% he got unforeseen injuries during his training camp, his pay for the fight was probably decided a long while before it. Ideally someone of his status should be making $500,000 a fight IF he fights like 3x a year. Totally $1.5 Million a year, which in comparison to boxing is still pretty low with boxers making $24 Million, $30 Mil, etc for one fight, and doing sometimes two of those a year. Hopefully salaries will be on the rise.

Respect what you say but don t get it twisted boxers that make 30 mil plus are your Flloyds, de la hoyas, pac mans..a small percentage of boxers in the world, Carl froche is a world champ un beaten and makes no where near that figure of 1.5 million does not even have a tv deal..the creame de le creame make that in boxing and thats through their promotion companys, big network deal ppv (hbo) and super fights.
Im not saying fighters don't deserve big pay at all but in my book someone like anderson silva or GSP should be on bigger money than TITO as they are champs and proper evolved mma artists who at current are injury free and are in the elite p4p list. With out Tito, Randy, hughes and Chuck to name a few doing their bit we would not see mma artist reach the heights they are at now. Tito is not at the top of the pile anymore, he is a draw with his name yeah but so are the gsps and Silvas as fans become more educated in mma and see how well rounded these atheletes are compared to the old school wrestlers or brawlers.
I understand people get injured in training its fighting but when you have been out for two years and you bit the hand that fed you....you should be thankfull that hand throws you some rather tasty crumbs. Tito made that money on his name what he was not what he is....i like all mma fighters and respect them all you gotta earn your spot and its the same in boxing.
Tito made more money of sponsors and endorsments and is far from poor so i think he did well to get that deal knowing he would never beat the machidas or silvas of the world...just my opinion.
