<-<- UFC on FOX 3 --- UFC 146 ->-> UFC on Fuel TV 3 is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Ultimate Fighting Championship. It is expected to take place on May 15, 2012 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The event will be the second that the organization has hosted at the Patriot Center, following UFC Fight Night 20.Official fight card

Welterweight bout: United States Amir Sadollah vs. United States Jorge Lopez
Lightweight bout: United States Donald Cerrone vs. United States Jeremy Stephens
Bantamweight bout: Haiti Yves Jabouin vs. United States Jeff Hougland
Light Heavyweight bout: Croatia Igor Pokrajac vs. Brazil Fabio Maldonado
Middleweight bout: Canada Jason MacDonald vs. United States Tom LawlorPreliminary card (Facebook) Lightweight bout: United States Cody McKenzie vs. United States Marcus LeVesseur
Middleweight bout: United States Brad Tavares vs. South Korea Dongi Yang

Bantamweight bout: Mexico Alex Soto vs. United Sates Francisco Rivera BackgroundReports initially indicated this event would be the third broadcasted UFC event on FX. However, due to scheduling issues the event will be broadcasted on Fuel TV.
Brandon Vera was briefly scheduled to face Thiago Silva in a rematch of their January 2011 bout. However, Vera was forced out of the bout with an injury. Igor Pokrajac stepped in to fight Silva. Silva was subsequently pulled from the bout to replace an injured Antônio Rogério Nogueira against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC on Fuel TV 2. Pokrajac will now face Fabio Maldonado.
Yves Edwards was expected to face Donald Cerrone at the event, but Edwards was forced out of the bout with an injury and replaced by Jeremy Stephens.
Mike Easton was expected to face Yves Jabouin at the event, but Easton was forced out of the bout with an injury and replaced by Jeff Hougland who was previously expected to face Renan Barão at UFC 148.
In April 2012 it was reported that LeVesseur had signed a four fight deal with the UFC to replace Aaron Riley against Cody McKenzie on May 15, 2012 at UFC on Fuel TV 3.Mar 19 - updated everything Mar 27 - updated fightcard & background Apr 10 - updated fightcard Apr 17 - updated fightcard May 01 - updated fightcard May 08 - updated fightcard (LeVesseur)
