Born October 3, 1983. A Brazilian professional mixed martial arts fighter. Alves started training in Muay Thai when he was 15 and mixed martial arts at 17. He is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Alves has the biggest fight of his career coming up on July 11th 2009 against current Welterweight champion Georges St Pierre.
