Hello everyone,

First of all, I don't speak english fluently, so don't hesitate to correct my syntax and grammar ::pirat::

I have just found on MMA-torrents and other torrents in the past years a few videos in 720p or 1080i and 60 fps (like 2 K-1 events in 2010 for example) but I don't understand which hardware must I have to record in 60 fps.

I have found a lot of capture cards like Avermedia's cards but it accept the maximum recording quality in 1080i or 1080p at 30fps (and not 60 fps).

I just want know if you can advise me about capture card who record in 1080p and 50 or 60 fps because we have a new channel in France, Kombat Sport HD in 1080i with a lot of event that I want record ::cheers::

thanks for your answers

Nicolas

Hi mate,

There are many different options but what you are looking for is something like this...

http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html

it does

NTSC: 720p60, 1080i60, 480i60, 480p60
PAL: 720p50, 1080i50, 576p50, 576i50, 480p50, 480i50

Basically, to avoid any loss of quality, you want to record in the format it is broadcast in.

Unfortunately, DVRs will convert the incoming signal to their own format, but the frame rate should be preserved. From there, it is up to you as a knowledgeable encoder to convert the DVR file to a well known format that maximizes video quality and minimizes file size. This is the part that's easiest to screw up.

Thanks for your answers, but I have downloaded manuals and see forums and videos (on youtube) about hauppauge's box and cards and they are also limited at 30 fps in 1080p ::pale:: :((

I hope that a card that can record in 1080p (or 1080i) and 60 fps will be released

Despited this fact, I don't understand how (which card has been used ?) a K-1 event in 1080i and 60 fps has been released 2 years ago ::scratch::

Edit: I see now that you specifically say 1080p and it does say 1080i60 so maybe you are right. 1080i / 60 stands for 60 FIELDS per second, divide by 2 gives us 30 FRAMES per second. Good to know lol.
Do you have a link or the nfo of that release in 1080i 60fps? I cant find any that are not 1080i with 29.97 fps.

Maybe this would do the trick...

http://publiclibrary.dwcc.tv/DVR/VMAXHD ... VMAXHD.pdf

Something like that at least.
