There could be a number of reasons for your playback problems. But yeah, use nero vision and "make dvd". Import your files, hit next, next, I opt not to create menus, next, then burn. too easy

Need some advice on burning. First of all what programs would people recommend? Secondly how do I burn events longer than 120 min? Should I split them? If so what should I use to do this?

Thank You.

I must confess I didnt burn a DVD in a long time, I almost always use hdmi directly to the TV, but when I did burn DVD's I used NERO and simply did "burn as data". I suppose it depends on the format and size of the source file and what formats your DVD player accepts. Both mp4 and xvid are often supported these days so burning as data should work.

Thanks. I have Nero but need a registration code for it. Any advice on splitting files?

Maybe this would do the trick to burn as data:

I've burned DVDs before just using Windows Movie Maker but it takes forever. They're for a mate I think he'll be watching them on PS3 but I'd like to be able to make ones that play on dvd players..
