I tried finding the "mp4" in inspect but it doesnt work. (submeta) - does anyone else know how to rip the videos?

I was able to download originals from submeta using the Downie app on MacOS. Not sure if it's any help for people using other systems.

Submeta use .mpd to store their steraming videos
The first option which is the easiest is the Internet Download Manager, it directly capture the mpd file for you and let you download it
The second will be using the chrome extension. .MPD detector, it captures the .MPD file, and you need to use yt-dlp to download the .mpd link it gave you, you can use a python script to help you download all these .mpd links you captured using yt_dlp module in python, I believe chatgpt can give you perfect script for that

BrianMMA's method works!!
I just tested the .MPD detector extension with yt-dlp downloader and it worked like a charm. (on Linux)

ok then... I deleted the 3 useless comments.

use:
- Downie app on MacOS
- Internet Download Manager app on Windows
- .MPD detector extension with yt-dlp downloader on Linux, Windows and Mac
Tidy and concise... practically a guide.
