Post subject:  [Poll] Who is your favourite middleweight fighter
And another poll. This time for the middleweight class. I can't tell you exactly why but I just love a poll.

I wish to point out that it is all about your favourite fighter not about the best, even though at times this goes together of course.

Also I would like to state once again that some fighters might be or have been fighting in different weight classes as well. For me however it is not about the weight class, it is all about honouring fighters that stole our hearts.

In the end the results will lead to one final poll anyway, without the weight classes to see who deserves the MMA-Torrent's TUF (The Ultimate Favourite) fighter salute :)

Please explain your picks as well because we love to know why the fighter(s) you picked stole your heart and if you have not done so please vote at our other polls as well, you can find them here and here

Anderson Silva - Just wow. My favourite fighter of all. Utterly awesome striker.

Demian Maia - Really like his martial arts ethic and his amazing grappling skills. Watching him submit opponents is a thing of beauty. Really like how he is developing more rounded skills as well, but hope he doesn't bow to the uneducated masses and forgets his grappling in favour of striking matches.

Rich Franklin - A great fighter and seems to be a really nice guy. Always classy, always professional, always a good embassador for the sport.


Also like Melvin Manhoef - seriously exciting fighter, as it's always either knockout or be knocked out ;-)

The brazilian's take this one for me.

Anderson Silva
What can you say. The guy is a superstar.

Vitor Belfort
Been a huge fan of Belfort from back in the early UFC days. The fight against Wanderlei and Abbott come to mind.

Wanderlei Silva
Another superstar. So many epic KO's.

Another mention Robbie Lawler. I like watching him fight. His style is exciting.

1. Chael Sonnen (R-Oregon) - The dude is damned entertaining and singlehandedly makes fights interesting. He went after Anderson and called him out then went out and backed it up over Marquardt. Dude is just a blast to listen to, saying he's gonna make Anderson cry and having a truckload of dirt on the guy. I normally don't like shit-talkers, but Chael backs it up.

2. Hendo - KTFO Bisping, which goes such a long way. But the dude is a badass that's destroyed everywhere he's been. He's proud of his Native American heritage, seems like a good dude to hang out with, as hie and Shields are training together and bar-hopping together for their fight. Also, I respect a guy who leaves his comfort zone to stick to his guns and stake his claim somewhere else.

3. Jake Shields - The dude. Just. Wins. In multiple weight classes, in multiple organizations, the guy just simply wins fights. He's still young and can still make a huge name for himself in MMA, especially with a win over Henderson. It may not always be pretty, but the dude hasn't lost a fight in over 5 years and is still pretty humble. I respect that.

nah hes cool, Im just messing around

but there was not really any surprises here, only observation is that the winner is typically accused of bad antics and boring fights right now lol
