It will be interesting to see how he goes. It looks as if they are tailoring the show for him to increase his chances, such as:

* The fighters don't have to fight to get into the house
* The fighters don't seem to be of the same caliber as other seasons. i.e. 4 ex NFL players
* He gets a different deal to everyone else if he wins the show

Looking forward to seeing how it all goes down. From what I have seen in the past he doesn't have much of a ground game, but I'm sure training with Bas Rutten he has improved significantly.

Wow Muzz I didnt know that, dam they really want to make this Kimbos show dont they, but then again who can blame them. Dana knows what he has to do to make TUF/UFC successful and he is doing good.

After all we want to see Kimbo too right, nothing would have been more boring then seeing him fail to fight his way into the house lol.

Thx for info!

Also, one of the former NFL guys hasn't fought a single fight. Yet, they now have a requirement since TUF 9 that you must have at least four professional fights to be considered.

When they had the TUF 10 tryouts, they were originally going to have two weight classes: Heavyweight and Middleweight. The crazy Capoeira KO dude (see video forum) didn't make the show because he hadn't had enough pro fights. His younger, slightly less skillful brother did make the show as he had enough pro fights. Of course, it's all moot as the Middleweight class was cut from the show.

As for Kimbo, I'm sure they'll find a way to make sure he makes it into the house. Noobie draw the whole point, right? There's no way Kimbo is going to make it anywhere near the finals. He seems to have decent recovery, but any real competent striker will exploit the hell out of that chin. He's been dropped a lot in his backyard fights, but always got up fast. He won't have that luxury in the UFC.

Its not like Heavyweights and Super heavyweights are all that common anyway. There simply are not that many truly athletic men that weight 265 lbs or more, relative to the population. He's not competing to be the greatest on the planet, just the greatest out of the group that showed up.

He'll have his chance to actually RANK himself if- and when- he earns the right to call himself a professional mixed martial artist by getting through the house.

Even beating football players, that's not like its an easy job; these guys are naturally athletic, and are big, powerful dudes. If they know how to throw a punch they could be dangerous. Plus there is an up-and-coming undefeated sleeper on the show that could make problems for everyone there.

Unless he gets an easy fight, Kimbo will be eliminated in the very first round.
