Wow complete domination. Who's gonna stop Jon Jones? Rahad Evans Dont think so... Nice performance by both Urijah Faber and Eddie Wineland, great fights in general. Was hurtful to see Crocop go down after probably winning his fight. Now on to the unaireds So whats up did you like it? |

i thought it was a pretty fucking awesome card... i noticed the tapping to strikes too which is kinda lame but shogun was getting owned... jones looked amazing as did urijah faber coming back from a tough first round... jim miller also put on a great performance... barboza vs njokuani was good choice for fight of the night... congrats to tibau on beating batman even though i wanted batman to win... that was my only mistake otherwise i would have been 12/12... now where the fuck is the post fight press conference... come on ufc! |

Newly crowned light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua topped the list of UFC 128 fighters suspended on Sunday by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board. Jones, who at 23 became the youngest fighter in UFC history to win a title belt, stopped Rua at 2:37 of the third round on Saturday night in front of 12,619 fans at Prudential Center. Despite the victory, Jones was placed on indefinite suspension pending an X-ray, MRI and orthopedic clearance of his right hand. Rua is suspended 60 days due to the TKO. He is also suspended indefinitely pending a CT head scan. Lightweight Kamal Shalorus is suspended 60 days after being TKO'd by Jim Miller at 2:15 of the third round. Heavyweight Brendan Schaub is suspended 60 days for facial lacerations and indefinitely pending a CT scan of his facial/orbital bones. His opponent at UFC 128, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, is suspended 30 days after being knocked out and for facial laceration healing. Filipovic is also suspended indefinitely pending a CT head scan. He was stopped by Schaub at 3:44 of the third round. Light heavyweight Luiz Cane is suspended indefinitely pending an X-ray and orthopedic clearance of his left thumb. Cane's opponent, Elliot Marshall, was handed a 30-day suspension after suffering a technical knockout loss at 2:15 of Round 1. Marshall is also suspended indefinitely pending a CT head scan. Lightweight Edson Barboza is suspended indefinitely pending X-rays of his right hand and right knee. Barboza defeated Anthony Njokuani by unanimous decision. Featherweight Raphael Assuncao was suspended 30 days after being knocked out at 2:32 of the first round by Erik Koch. Source: http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/new ... id=6239524 |

Mizantrop wrote: No date has been set for new UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to defend his title against former training partner Rashad Evans, but one issue is clear: trainer Greg Jackson won't be in Evans' corner on fight night. Jackson had trained both Jones and Evans. But Evans announced Sunday on Twitter that he has parted ways with his longtime Albuquerque, N.M.-based coach. "I will never use Greg ever again," Evans wrote on Sunday. "Greg brought this situation about. He brought Jones on board a while back against my wishes [and] here we [are] today." Jackson isn't the only trainer who works with both Jones and Evans, but the former UFC light heavyweight titleholder will likely leave the decision to those coaches. Despite singling out Jackson, Evans was quick to say his decision will have no negative effect on their relationship. Evans also didn't express any ill will toward Jones, whom he has trained and sparred with in the past. "I no longer will use Greg Jackson as my coach, but [we're] still cool," Evans wrote. "[Jones] fought amazing! I'm very happy [for] him." Jones stopped Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in the third round Saturday night at UFC 128 in Newark, N.J., to capture the 205-pound title. At 23 years old, he is the youngest UFC titleholder ever. Evans was originally scheduled to face Rua, but a knee injury he suffered while training forced him to pull out of the bout. Jones was then offered the title shot in February, immediately after a win over Ryan Bader. Jones helped Evans prepare for Rua by mimicking the then-champion's movements during sparring sessions. http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/new ... id=6239588 + Explains more: Havnt had enough of Rashad? http://www.youtube.com/user/KarynBryant |
