In my humble opinion...

Dana is set on having a great UFC event in Africa, we know that much, but hows it going to happen?

I think it has to start with TUF. We need to get the mainstream people in every African country aware, interested and addicted. And that is what The Ultimate Fighter does.

So... lets do this!

The Ultimate Fighter Africa: Jones vs. Ngannou... Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou as coaches. One woman team and one mens team for each coach.

If Ngannou is out of the question, Usman vs. Wonderboy. Stephen Thomson for being such a great coach in general and the awesome contrast it would make. Usman for being Usman. The winner could fight for the belt.

Update: or why not Adesanya vs. Du Plessis as coaches? Both where born in Africa.

But in the end who will coach is less important then that it happens.

Whats important is to:

1. Get new talent from Africa involved, hopefully one fighter from each nation, to get the mainstream people onboard and make it financially possible.

2. When the UFC Africa event happens UFC is big enough for mainstream Africa to tune in and see the season coaches fight and / or the main event.

Once TUF Africa 1 is trending in all African countries, making an event on the continent will be easy. Maybe make first UFC in Casablanca, its close to both USA, South America, Europe and Middle East. And close to both Nigeria and Cameroon. (Usman / Ngannou). Morocco has a long tradition of producing great fighters like Badr Hari etc and is most certainly not against the idea. And has a cool king you can actually deal with on Dana White levels.

Add to that a "Road to UFC Africa" and Contender series Africa" and I think we are all set!

Will it be hard and dangerous and really difficult? yes. Has it ever stopped Dana before? No.

DC & MC are also of a similar opinion when it comes to the matchup between Kamaru and Wonderboy.

Cool to see :)
