Baroni - Gas Tank: NOT YOURS.
Amir - Time to start working on explosive power. Your hands will thank you.

Saunders - Nice! But I feel Davis has hand picked to give him an impressive win.
Davis - That's the thing about Irish hand grenades. Do not drop after lit. Davis is nearing the end of his illustrious career. It's a shame the majority of his fights took place when decent paydays were scarce. He deserves a decent retirement.

Cain - Not much to say. He never really impressed me. At least I'll remember who he is, now.
'Lil Nog - The slightly more talented brother (IMO). Wicked destruction. This is the guy who will test Machida. He looks like a giant ape when he's windmilling his punches. It amuses me. :D

Volkmann - Best use of a holiday as nickname. I had no idea who he was before this. Nice debut. I was impressed.
Thiago - Not bad, but he needs to improve quite a bit if he has a prayer with GSP.
Wallid Ismail - Thiago's translator. The best translator in UFC history. :) He's beaten many Gracies and is crazy hilarious:

Kos - Wow. I was certain he would lose.
Johnson - Drats! Hopefully, this is a wake-up call to work on his boxing. I've been taking my camera with me when I hike the hill behind my home. I've seen him run the entire thing without difficulty (1km up with 25-50 degree grades). It's the tallest peak in the area and lies between AKA and his home. I haven't seen him since, but I only hike it a couple times a month.

Griffin - He's back. But he'll never be a contender. People love him and he rarely does boring, so he isn't going anywhere. I hope he got a cookie after his blood donation.
Tito - You insult our intelligence by thinking we'd buy the, "I have a cracked skull" BS? What happened to, "I'm 100%. I haven't been able to train like this for years!" No doctor will let you fight with a cracked skull. If he intentionally misled the doctors in order to fight (given his history, I fight this very difficult to believe), he should be fined and suspended. For someone who's, "fighting for the troops" he sure complains an awful lot.

Image

Misc - The production company needs to dust their lenses more. A couple cameras had a little bit of dust on them. The cameras are focused to infinity or close to it, so it's very difficult to tell. It just caught my eye in the Nog fight.

Good event

Saunders is ok but all he has is that clinch and knee...davies played into his hands,,well knees.

lil nog..looked awesome..i thought cane would win but lil nog can bang bang.

Tito..i thought summin was up at the start his trademark jumps where very flat he didnt move that well was so stiff and coming in like bitch franklin with the black eye was not a good look.
Tito gassed hard in the second too.

Baroni..too old skool for his own good.

Amir..awesome thai style leg kicks and flowing hands..just no tnt power

Lloyd christmas.....nuff said..hahhahaa..pulled a sick submission from the bottom and showed heart.

The whole Koshcheck v rumble fight was ruined with the knee to arm that koshcheck claimed was his eye or head shot...rumbles fingers went near his head give him that..the whole poking rumbles eyes out. Koshcheck finished rumble but should fight again fight was ruined it for me.
And Koshcheck i m gonna chat shit on my twitter...do an interview after the fight like everyone else you aint that good.

I thought the event was fantasmical.

Little Nog impressive! George Sotiropolous as slick as ever, and his boxing looked much improved.

Im pissed off at this event.

Well at Tito and the UFC.
Were you 100% before the fight?
Not if we are too believe what you said in the post fight interview, and the post fight press conference.
You admitted to lying to sell the event.
That is weak. Full stop.
Millions of people paid to watch this event, many based on the huge hype that Tito and the UFC put behind the event.
We were lied to. Not cool.
Preferably, dont lie, and if thats beyond you, keep your mouth shut, leave the excuses at home, and accept defeat like a man.

[rant]

Koschek. I really dislike this guy.

1) You didnt get kneed in the head.
2) You held the left eye, when in fact it was the right eye that (almost) got hit
3) Not even the right eye got hit really - a finger dusted your eyebrow
4) When the doctors were examining you, you kept that eye squinted as if it was closed up from damage
5) Miraculously, a few minutes later the eye was wide open, no damage whatsoever, not even a hint of bloodshot
6) You got a great rest and recovery period when you were in trouble, as well as trying to make the judges/ref side with you
7) You then used open palm left rangefinders to jab AJ in both of his eyes. Proper eye pokes. Not fake ones. Pokes that did damage to someone whos career was nearly ended not so long ago because of an eye poke
8) Nice RNC to finish AJ off but you never would have even got close to there without the underhand cheating tactics that you employed.
9) Afterwards you have the cheek to try and call Dan Hardy out for getting a shot at the title, because you genuinely think you're grade-A material. Wake up. I recall not so long ago this year watching Paulo Thiago knock you the fuck out at UFC 95.

The fighter I respect the least in the UFC just went down in my estimation even further - which I didnt think was possible.

[/rant]

I was happy overall with UFC 106. Hendrix, you are a funny MF'er, no doubt.

About the Koschek eye poke- I think he did get hit in the eye. Was it Johnson's knee that hit him? Yes. His knee knocked Koschek's forearm into his own eye. No penalty or stoppage should have occurred. If anything Anthony Johnson should have got a half point for beating his opponent with his own appendage. It's called the "Stop hitting yourself!!! Stope hitting yourself" approach to fighting. I like it.

About Tito Ortiz. He's the Jerry Springer Show of MMA. Everyone knows he's a joke. Personally, I think he likes men, that's why he fights. But his speech after Forrest won . . . so weird. I immediately thought of Kanye West storming the stage when Taylor Swift was accepting her award:

"Yo Forrest I'm really happy for you and I'm gonna let you finish, but my cracked skull is one of the best excuses of all time!"

I did enjoy UFC 106. Thought it was better than expected, almost every fight really had me wondering who would win. Joe Silva really put together a solid card that delivered.

I enjoyed the event a lot, there where some really great fights, but still I agree with all above posters!

Is Tito really really stupid?

Would you risk your life and go up against Griffin with a cracked skull? That must be one of either the worst excuses or lies or most stupid thing I have heard.

What if after a 100 m race the guy on second place said, "yeah but I ran with a broken leg". People would defenitely think he was completely mad and he would probably not be able to compete again if it was true, or at least get a suspension and a fine.

Not a good comeback Tito, I expected more. If Griffin picks you apart like that in the third round, cracked skull or not, then what about A. Silva? lol

Ahahahaha. "Yo, dawg! I put a crack in your skull so you can skull crack while you crack skulls!"

I like what Jake Rossen had to say. Comedy Gold:
"The Mike Tyson Amateur Physician Award: Tito Ortiz, for declaring his training for Forrest Griffin was marred by a “fractured skull” and a 'THX 1138 protruding vertebrae.' Or something."

Kos has the right idea (2:25):
