Alright I thought it was a good chance to create the official Euro 2012 thread for football lovers out there. Now that the group stages has passed - the tournament is down to 8 teams. Vote up using the poll. Of course the favorites are Spain or Germany. I'm liking Germany to go all the way this year. The Netherlands has to said were quite disappointing - a group of good individuals but not too much of a team. I'm not sure what happened with Group A: Poland and Russia were impressive but quickly fizzled out. The group of death for Group B was interesting, in all honesty Denmark would have qualified had it not been for the group being presented. Group C's Croatia also was unlucky to go out. Follow all the discussion as the matches are going on. Share all your thoughts as we count down till the final on July 1st right here! |

Spain by submission... I Think Spain is the best but in this Eurocup without David Villa is more difficult to score a goal ... If Spain wins Eurocup again, it will be the first time a selection wins Eurocup, World Championship and Eurocup again... I´m spanish so... ¡¡¡¡ARRIBA ESPAÑA!!!! |

Also individually speaking they're decent on the technical level (not Spain though). It's going to be an interesting final stretch. Euros going on now then Wimbledon finals the week after |

The problem with Spain is lack of strikers. Very interested how they line up next. Do they include Torres? Surely Fabregas has to start next game? There's such an abundance of good midfielders. |

I'm pretty sure that Fernando Torres will play from the start against France, our coach, Vicente del Bosque is quite conservative (which does not mean that it is wrong). But beware that Spain is saved in the sleeve a striker who has not played yet but he has done very good season in scoring 30 goals with Athletic de Bilbao in all competitions, is very tall, fast and can cause an upset. If the match against France go wrong...Fernando Llorente could be the answer... Saludos... |

Tonight's game should be close. I can't stand Ronaldo as talented as he is, but Portugal-Czech Republic 2-1 |
