Hey guys,
dunno whether this is too on-topic for the Chill Out Room, but it's a relaxed topic, hence my thread
/PRAISE: Been with this site for a couple of years now, and I couldn't do without it, that's a fact!
==============
Anyway, so far I have seen content in many different qualities, however the highest quality (at least for the regular UFC content) was either 720p or 1080i/30fps, of which I prefer 720p, for sure.
I just got myself a Samsung 4K monitor, and in order to be able to use 4K resolution at 60fps, I need to use DisplayPort, as HDMI 1.4 is not good enough and can only carry 30fps, or 2160i. (HDMI 2.0
can do 2160p, however)
So I'm wondering... how long do you guys think it'll take until we see real 1080p/60fps, and as a next step, 2160p?
Are you interested in this jump in quality at all, or is there a limit to how much detail we want when sweating bodies clash?For myself, I can't get enough pixels out of an inch. I hope that rather soonish there'll be real 3D recording, as in: Oculus Rift-compatible, so you can move the PoV all around the Octagon as you watch.
Greetings from somewhere near Amsterdam/The Netherlands!
