Since the early 1970's and perhaps earlier in many countries, governments have been collecting the DNA of all babies born and storing them in mass DNA databases. These samples were taken without consent.

I wouldn't mind it if it was done only for medical purposes and that it would only stay within hospital walls, without anyone else having access. Only hospital lab in case of need, just like having bank of stem cells.

Someone will say it might be usefull in fighting the crime but it's not like that. It won't prevent crime, only could solve it, but then if someone serious commits anything they won't find him anyway.

I know that other countries use it but it is one step further to having totalitarian Big Brother system. Why should I have eye scans or similar shit? Thanks, but no thanks.

Some of these things might have good sides to it but noone is talking about possible mis-use which is very probable.
