Sadly Emily Whitmire Vs Polyana Viana was cancelled. Whitmire didn't make weight and had to go to the hospital.

But this is still such a STACKED card Im pumped!!

It will probable be a moot point for the people in the competition because this will be another competition that is cancelled after the fact. The reason? The competition is still open for bets. Two fights have already been completed. Hopefully no one has submitted their picks after the competition already started. Please close the door before it gets any later.

Hi cain1753! I guess what you are saying is that the countdown timer was wrong? It didnt close the competition before the fights started, is this correct?

Yes that appears to be the case. The timer was still active when I looked at it even though 2 fights had already been completed. Even yesterday it confused me when I looked at it as it seemed the competition was starting very late. I just assumed it had something to do with the time zone changes. It does not affect me. I usually give lots of time when I submit picks. It would only affect me if the competition ended up being cancelled again as a result. If in fact people were still submitting picks after the fight started it could cause an issue. If all picks came in early and none after the fight started it would not be an issue either.

You are perfectly right, I see the error now. I mistakenly set the time for comp to close to one hour before the main card, not the early preliminary card. I'm sorry for my blatant error.

Reason I made the mistake is mostly that UFC recently changed the way they display the events different parts exact start time, and other sites seem to have gotten affected by this as well as none of the normal sources had the correct time for the event start displayed.

Because it was closed one hour before main card started only first 7 fight could be counted in this comp to make sure nobody was able to "cheat". Rest could be "cancelled". That way at least we dont have to cancel the whole thing...

Thank you for your reply and explanation as to how this situation came about. When I checked the start time on Thursday the information I found indicated 6:30 PM. That would have been the time in Las Vegas, Nevada. I live in the EST zone which would have made the start time here 9:30 PM. With that information the timer shut off time would have been correct. However something changed as to the start time and it would seem the early prelims started at 5:00 PM. Your resolution is fair to everyone and does not make the competition a complete loss. The time for closing the competition was set based on the information available when the competition was posted.



Your solution at least still makes the competition have some value moving forward that keeps the playing field level.

So I could in theory count at least the last 7 fights as valid in the competition, maybe more. Ill get to it soon

Because of the reasons stated above only last 7 fights on the card will be counted.
