I use rutorrent but the search function... never use it to be honest. Does it even work on private trackers?

Have you tried adding your cookie in rutorrent settings?
The format would be
mma-torrents.com|uid=XXX;pass=XXX;
And should be entered in the cookies tab in settings.
You can find the cookie uid and pass in your browser (Google "
find cookie info firefox/chrome/IE/Safari" for a guide for your browser). If you use Firefox 60+ you need to install an
addon to see the cookie info.
Make sure you use the mma-torrents.com tracker uid and pass and not the forum account.
