How do i unblock utorrent with windows 7? Hi. I am having some trouble with utorrent on my new laptop. For some reason no matter what I do I cannot unblock utorrent. I disabled the firewall, completely, and still can't get through. Its not my connection, I could download torrents on my desktop that has xp on it easy, but my laptop has 7 and keeps getting access is denied message. Any help you guys could give would be great. Thanks in advance. |

Hello mate, You should never disable the windows firewall. Just leave it on, utorrent should work fine with it activated! Do you have any other firewall programs installed? If so disable them and try again. Do you have a router? If so you need to forward ports in your router for utorrent. For help with that go here http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... rindex.htm and choose your router in the list, then choose utorrent (ignore any offers of automatic installers) and you should get a comprehensive guide. Remember to make topic title here more descriptional to your problem in the future, just putting utorrent does not draw attention ('utorrent download problem on win 7' would be better in this case). Also remember to provide as many details as possible. Router, firewall etc. Usually all you need to do is start utorrent and as long as there is not router that needs port forwarding you should be able to down and upload right away. |

Thanks in advance. Is the problem with Utorrent that it won't start at all? Or is it a connection issue with DL'ing torrents? If Utorrent will not start, right click and run as administrator and see if that works. Cheers, bT |
