I would like to start hiding my identity, you read a lot of people in different places receiving emails from their ISP about downloading illegal files.

1. How do i stay hidden from this.
2. as above whilst still seeding too keep my ratio up.

Hi ridah,

If you go to your account by clicking the icon next to where it says "You are logged in as: ridah".

Click edit settings, then set your Privacy level to strong.

This will hide your details where designed to do so.

I use Utorrent, and i am sure my ISP Number is located on the seeds list, is there a way to black list that?

Ps. Imo peerguardian, peerblock etc are only good to use as extra firewalls to easy block ip's manually. But I would avoid any of the official "blocklists" that they provide. They are full of wrongly reported IPs' that are blocked for no reason. Companies that are against filesharing love to send in false reports about IP's to the listmakers and suddenly the list blocks more p2p related sites then goverment institutuions. And to be honest, do you really think that anyone that wants your IP will be stopped by a peerblocker or peerguardian. We all know that using a proxy we can change our own ip's in seconds, so why wouldnt the "police" or whoever you are fearing, be able to do the same? All those block lists and apps are bullshit.
Only things that can hide your identity is: Seedbox, VPN and the always present alternative: not using a computer at all.
