Post subject:  BJJ Instructionals organization in Plex

Dear friends,

I have some BJJ instructionals that I want to place in a Plex library. I would like to ask you how you organize your instructionals library so that Plex shows it right. My questions are:
1) Do you place these instructionals in a "TV" library, "Movie" library or "Other video" library?
2) Is there an automated way to feed metadata?
3) If you place them on "Other video", how do you organize them?

Hope to hear your tips on this.
V

I put them in a TV library under the names of the instructor.

So Gordon Ryan is the name of the tv show, then a Season for each instructional for instance
Gordon Ryan/show.jpg <--- some image for all of his instructionals, like the bundle image on bjj fanatics
Gordon Ryan/Season 01/Gordon Ryan.S01E01.Getting Swole as a Grappler Vol 1.mp4
Gordon Ryan/Season 01/Gordon Ryan.S01E02.Getting Swole as a Grappler Vol 2.mp4
...
Gordon Ryan/Season 01/Season01a.jpg <--- front for this instructional
Gordon Ryan/Season 01/Season01b.jpg <--- back 1 just for archival reasons
Gordon Ryan/Season 01/Season01c.jpg <--- back 2 just for archival reasons
...
Gordon Ryan/Season 02/Gordon Ryan.S02E01.Being a Douche to Homeless People Vol 1.mp4
Gordon Ryan/Season 02/Gordon Ryan.S02E02.Being a Douche to Homeless People Vol 2.mp4
...
etc.

Then in plex I used named seasons and rename the season to the name of the instructional.

I also wrote a script based on this guy's
https://ikyle.me/blog/2020/add-mp4-chapters-ffmpeg

To add the chapters to the mp4s based on the info on the bjj fanatics page, so you can select the chapters from within plex and so plex creates thumbnails at each subsection. I tried to write a script to automate the scraping of this, but the data at bjj fanatics is both riddled with errors and not consistently formatted, so it always requires some manipulation of data.

Man, this is great. I'll try it out and let you know how it goes. Bernardo Faria and John Danaher are about to get their self named TV show :)
