I just donated and signed up. I downloaded 2 torrents

These total 17.0 GB. However, when I look at my homepage is says I've downloaded 10x that! 170.14 GB. I don't even have the bandwidth to have downloaded that much this quickly!

How can I fix this?? My ratio is completely messed up.

What torrent client are you using and on what operative system?

There is something wrong with your torrent client. It re-downloads the files over and over. Make sure you are not using a dynamic folder like google drive for your downloads!
You can clearly see this in the screenshot that I have sent to you in a private message.

I recommend

1. That you change client or download location depending on what it is that causes it to re-download the files again.

2. Read the rules and guides. ALWAYS start with freeleech torrents until you have gotten into rhythm with your ratio.

I'm using Deluge v2.1.1, running in a docker container on Ubuntu Linux 22.04.

You ratio has been adjusted to reflect what you intended to download.

Please stop all torrents and try another download client, or download location, not sure what causes your issue, but its on your side so please try to make some changes so you dont get caught in the same situation again.

Any test you make now I recommend that you do using freeleech torrents until you see that your ratio is counted correctly.

Ps. There is no direct absolute need to run the torrent client in a container on Linux. You should be able to install say for example rtorrent directly.
