I know I mentioned this a while back, but just wanted to check back in with you on it. The PM about uploading to public trackers and security, brought it back to mind. SSL/ HTTPS connection to the site and tracker would definitely be a very big plus in helping with security on the site.

I will be completely honest. To have the domain equipped with an encrypted cerificate cost money. It can be a lot of money depending on how well encrypted and what kind of provider we choose. I have been looking, I promise, but I have to make calculations about when I will afford to implement such a system.

Personally if you are worried I truly recommend a seedbox. That was all transfers will be made to an IP that has nothing to do with you, and all transfers via ftp to your home computer will encrypted.

I will continue to look for the best solution in order to keep our members as safe as possible off course and hopefully be able to implement an encrypted system as soon as possible.

Although....you don't need to have a registered cert, you can create a self-signed (free) cert and then just enable SSL. I would probably recommend not getting a registered one; Generally, the more expensive the certificate, the more investigating that the issuing certificate authority does.
