The link in the invite is to register a new account, did you click it? It should take you to a registration page, not the login directly.
After you have registered your account you should be able to login with the details you have chosen.

Yes when I go to register through that link and fill out all the fields and click submit it say invalid username error.

Make sure you don't have any spaces, weird symbols or similar in the username you choose.

Thanks, I was trying to use the same name as I am using here used a new name and it worked.

Its possible that _ is not allowed on the tracker, Im sorry. But Im glad you where able to sort it out!
