I hope I'm not asking about something painfully obvious and if so, I apologize in advance. I looked around this forum and didn't see this exact topic covered, but it's quite possible that I simply missed a thread or ten.

I received an invitation to this tracker. I followed the instructions and created a username and password. After doing so, it informed me that I could now log into the site. When I tried to do so, I got a message saying "incorrect username" (or something to that effect). I assumed that I had incorrectly typed my desired username, so I clicked on the link to recover my account info.

I received an email with new info. My username was now a long series of characters, and I was provided with a temporary password. I tried to log in once again using those credentials, but this time received this message: "Your account is currently pending, please check your email." Since, I have received no new email.

Is this all perfectly normal, or is there something wrong with my registration?

Again, if I'm rehashing an old topic, I apologize. It's been a weird day for me and I wouldn't be surprised if this were a case of my not being able to see the forest for all the trees.

Sounds like you never activated your account or didnt activate it properly.

You can try to click the invite link again and see if it allows you to re-register.

Hmm, I just did exactly what I did the first time around, and was once again told that I could now log in. The only difference? This time, it worked. Thank you.
