The event will feature a middleweight bout between John Salter and Costello van Steenis. Costello van Steenis (12-1-0) was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch father and Filipino mother. He grew up in Spain in the coastal town of Altea, but is now doing his training in The Netherlands at MMA Vlaardingen, under Ricardo Wondel. Prior to joining Bellator MMA, Costello compiled an 8-1 record, finishing most of his opponents. John Salter (16-4-0) a submission master, getting all his wins in Bellator via submission, is a UFC veteran with an extensive wrestling and grappling record.
