Background

Bellator will be heading back to the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma for Bellator 166 on December 2 and the event will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Eduardo Dantas will defend the bantamweight title against former champion Joe Warren.

Dantas (18-4) has won back to back fights since dropping the Bellator bantamweight title to Warren at Bellator 128 in 2014. Since that fight, he has won back to back fights and became a two-time champion in June when he defeated Marcos Galvão by decision at Bellator 156.

Warren (13-5, 1NC) is coming off a submission win against Sirwan Kakai at Bellator 161 and it was his second career win by submission. He is 6-2, 1NC in his last nine fights and three of those wins have come by stoppage.

A pair of rising prospects will square of at Bellator 166, when A.J. McKee collides with Emmanuel Sanchez in a featherweight duel.

McKee’s entire five-fight professional career has taken place under the Bellator banner. The Team Bodyshop member has finished each of his foes inside of a round, including a 32-second submission of Cody Walker in his most recent outing at Bellator 160.

Anchored at Roufusport in Milwaukee, Wisc., Sanchez has posted a 6-2 record in the California-based promotion. After earning three straight triumphs over Henry Corrales, Justin Lawrence and Daniel Pineda, “El Matador” dropped a split decision to former title challenger Daniel Weichel in his last appearance at Bellator 159.
