So why even bring it up, nearly a half of a year AFTER the fact? To defend BJ Penn? BJ no doubt had the right to complain, but he made a completely freak show out of the whole thing, and it definitely hit a low point the minute he brought in HIS MOTHER to defend him.

BJ brought the ridicule on himself throughout the fiasco, and deserved the criticism, regardless of what YouTube videos you want to share with everyone. If you want to blame anyone for the criticism BJ received, blame BJ.

It is unfortunate that GSP's corner applied some grease to him, but grease didn't help GSP's fists when he was pounding BJ's face into the canvas. A concussion is what beat BJ Penn in that fight, not vaseline. Even if no grease was involved, the fight would have turned out exactly the way their first fight did: utter domination by Georges St.-Pierre on a guy who should stay in the Lightweight division where he's the absolute best.

On a lighter note, Rashad's face during that conversation is priceless.

Georges St.-Pierre beat BJ twice. People can excuse the first one for BJ's conditioning, and excuse the second one for the grease, but the fact of the matter is GSP was the better Welterweight both times. BJ's yes-men and nuthuggers can make all of the excuses they want, but the fights speak for themselves, and BJ belongs in the Lightweight division.

Besides, if GSP's grease is so effective, how do you explain Matt Serra beating the piss out of him in the first fight? And how do you explain the beating GSP gave Thiago Alves? It was as dominant as the one he gave BJ, and he didn't use grease this time.

I'm not one of his bigger fans personally, but GSP is one of the best in the world, whether you like it or not.

Yes rubbing Vaseline on fighters backs is illegal. Was this intentional, it clearly doesn’t look intentional. The fact that it was left over vaseline after rubbing the his face would have barely put enough Vaseline on GSP’s back to make any kind of hindrance to BJ Penn.
the fact of the matter is GSP was the more dominant fighter. BJ Penn looked out of gas at the end of the second round. If we are to blame the loss on anything, let’s blame it on BJ Penn’s inability to train properly and get gassed too early in fights !

But, see, nothing is ever BJ Penn's fault!
