Following the cancelation of Affliction: Trilogy, Light Heavyweight Gegard Mousasi aired his frustrations with Fight Network Radio.
Quote:
Well, what can I say. It's ridiculous, because of one idiot, we all have to pay for that. F*ck it. Maybe I ... I don't know. Every time ... Maybe I'll go to the UFC. It's ridiculous that this has to happen. I've been preparing for weeks now.
I would love to see Mousasi in the UFC. I'm not sure if he is tied up with DREAM, but I think Mousasi would readily withdraw from the tournament if there is an opportunity to do so. As much as I'd love to see him submit or TKO Sokoudjou, Mousasi really has nothing to gain from the ridiculous Super Hulk GP.
Part of me still hopes StrikeForce inherits and hosts Mousasi vs. Babalu in August. It'd be a fantastic co-main event, and would definitely make up for the canceled Heavyweight title fight. In all honesty, I was looking forward to Mousasi vs. Babalu much more than I was Fedor vs. that Steroids guy.
