Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson is an upcoming mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce. The event is expected to take place on July 30, 2011 at Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Welterweight bout: England Paul Daley vs. United States Tyron Woodley
Welterweight bout: United States Scott Smith vs. Belgium Tarec Saffiedine

Background

A planned bout between Rafael Cavalcante and Ovince St. Preux was scrapped.

Evangelista Santos was originally scheduled to fight Tarec Saffiedine. Saffiedine, however, was pulled from the bout and replaced by Paul Daley. However, Santos was forced out of his bout with Daley due to a shoulder injury. Saffiedine will now face Scott Smith. Undefeated welterweight Tyron Woodley will step in to replace Santos against Daley.

Roger Gracie was originally scheduled to face Muhammed Lawal at the event. However, the bout was rescheduled for September 10, 2011 at Strikeforce 36 after Gracie suffered a training injury.

Ronda Rousey and Sarah D'Alelio were originally scheduled to fight on this card, but their bout was later moved to Strikeforce Challengers: Gurgel vs. Duarte.

Lyle Beerbohm was originally scheduled to face Gesias Cavalcante, but was replaced by Bobby Green on July 19, 2011

I am!!! My girlfriend and I are going to be in Chicago for the entire weekend to see weigh-ins and meet fedor and hendo. I scored some pretty sweet tix to the fight itself, I'm going to be so excited when the main event actually goes down. Two of the greatest fighters ever, in an absolute dream fight! I'll be sure to post pics when I get back....
