It's official. Matt Hughes sold off his stake in his own gym the HIT Squad. The new buyer of the gym has been reported as Jesse Finney. As of tonight, sources informed us that all of Hughes's stuff is being torn down to make way for new. There have been mixed reports on what will happen to all of the personnel as some have stated that just some will be let go while others have stated everyone but Marc Fiore will be let go. The HIT Squad was formed in 2007 when Hughes left Pat Miletich's camp with Robbie Lawler. The founding members also included Matt Pena and Marc Fiore. While Hughes has not made any public announcement about retiring, this is one sign that he is seriously considering it after his loss to BJ Penn.
