You may not understand the genius that is James Toney. In fact, some of thought you would never see 'James Toney' and 'Genius' in the same sentence. It's alright. Your approval is not a requisite for James Toney to make an extraordinary amount of money in his MMA debut. According to Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports, Toney will make an estimated $750,000 to $1,000,000 tomorrow evening while you help your friend clean up the bottle of Corona he just spilled over your living room carpet.

The UFC, led by former boxer-turned-promoter Dana White, has flourished. “MMA is the king of the [expletive] right now,” Toney said, which is another reason he’s here. He’ll make an estimated $750,000 to $1 million Saturday. In boxing, “I can’t get no fights.”

Win or lose, James Toney still wins. It's like some twisted game of Candyland where every move will put a year's salary in your pocket. The genius of James Toney will not be determined at UFC 118. It's already been established through a potpourri of vlogs and absurd interviews. Maybe BJ Penn is right, James Toney is 'God's gift to MMA'.

Can someone please pick up my jaw, I dropped it to the floor and cant find it.

Man to make $ 1.000.000 on a fight that you will 99% loose must be the weirdest paycheck Ive heard about in UFC history.

I understand that he will sell mega ppvs tonight but I find this to be a big blow to long time vets and ppvs sellers that dont bring half that. I hope its a 1 time amount. If he loses he is a must cut for how much he cost and probably wont sell like this again. I hate Dana sometimes. Wouldnt shell out for the superfight Fedor vs Lesnar but will pay this asshole who os 0-0 MMA.

Fedor/m-1 wanted 50% of the PPV's and thats obviously much more then 1.000.000 but I agree that it really sucks that Fedor never came to UFC. Unless he wins his next 3-4 fights I dont think there is a chance for it to happen either.
