Strikeforce: Los Angeles, also referred to as Strikeforce Live is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Strikeforce. The event is scheduled to take place on June 16, 2010 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

* Catchweight (195 lbs) bout: United States Robbie Lawler vs. Brazil Renato Sobral * Heavyweight bout: United States Bobby Lashley vs. United States Ron Sparks * Welterweight bout: Lithuania Marius Zaromskis vs. Brazil Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos
Background
The card will take place on a Wednesday and will coincide with the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
According to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, “The June 16 card will include some top-heavy main-event fighters, as well as some standout ‘Challenger’ prospects.”
Jason Miller was targeted as Lawler's opponent for this event. However, Strikeforce officials believe the Tennessee Athletic Commission will have "Mayhem" suspended, so Renato Babalu Sobral is now being advertised as Robbie Lawler's opponent in a 195-lb Catchweight bout.
On Strikeforce.com, the event page originally stated Noons would have a rematch with Charles Bennett, but Bennett's name was immediately taken down and replaced with TBA.

Wow, is Lashley fighting Lawler?!
I joke - just another shitty Strikeforce poster.
Two really good, exciting fights on this card and also another chance to see Lashley beat a guy he really should. I'm glad that after this one he's going for a step up in competition - I like him as a fighter and how he comes across in interviews, and I agree with his gradual build up attitude. But there's building up and then there's taking teeny-tiny-baby-steps and so never really improving as much as you could.

I bought tix for this event right when they became available expecting them to flesh the card out a bit (brawl-gate put a stop to that though)... When Noons got moved off I was PISSED, I'm a KJ Noons fan. I'm glad they put him back on though. As for Lashley being taken off the card, good fucking riddance, dude is a joke.
