According to TheGarv, Jon Jones will fight Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC on Versus 2 in a Light Heavyweight clash. Jones was last in action in the main event of UFC on Versus 1, stopping Brandon Vera in the first round with strikes. Matyushenko competed on the preliminary card of that event, picking up a split decision victory over Eliot Marshall. UFC on Versus 2 is scheduled for August 1, 2010 from the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. The main card will air live on Versus. RUMORED CARD: * Jon Jones vs. Vladimir Matyushenko * Joe Stevenson vs. Takanori Gomi * Jake Ellenberger vs. John Howard UFC has yet to confirm any of the fights. Card is building up nice |

Yeh I dont get it - Give Jones a tougher fight, I think one or two more top ten fighters, and he's able to demand a title shot. |

Either they know sometithing about Matyushenko that we havnt seen yet or this will be a missmatch. I like Matyushenko so far and I hope all goes well for him, but Jones is just a nightmare. Not sure what to think about this yet. |

I like Vlady too, however, in my opinion he plays his fights safe doesn't overcommit and with Bones being so explosive i dont know how that type of game is going to work for him in this matchup. |
