"Strikeforce Challengers VI: Kaufman vs. Hashi" live and official weigh-in results
SAN JOSE, Calif. – MMAjunkie.com is on scene for today's "Strikeforce Challengers VI: Kaufman vs. Hashi" official fighter weigh-ins in San Jose, Calif.
Today's weigh-in ceremonies take place at the Hilton San Jose (in the Almaden Ballroom). Friday night's Showtime-broadcast fight card takes place at the San Jose Civic Auditorium.
All 24 fighters are scheduled to hit the scales beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. PT local time), and MMAjunkie.com will have live updates from the proceedings as well as a photo gallery of the competitors later this evening.
After a late change in main-event plans, females Sarah Kaufman (10-0 MMA, 2-0 SF) and Takayo Hashi (12-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) face off in the evening's featured bout for Strikeforce's first-ever welterweight crown. Rising prospect Karl Amoussou (11-2-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) and longtime veteran Trevor Prangley (22-5 MMA, 3-1 SF) had been scheduled to meet in the main event but will now take co-feature status.
Promising prospects Paul Bradley (12-1 MMA, 1-0 SF) and Luke Rockhold (6-1 MMA, 5-0 SF) are also scheduled to meet on the evening's main card.
