Background
ONE Championship returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 17 with another explosive lineup as ONE Friday Fights 129 goes down live in Asia primetime.
This event features international rising stars from across the globe competing under Muay Thai and MMA rules — most of whom will be battling for a life-changing US$100,000 contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization.
In the main event, Thailand’s Tengnueng Fairtex faces Myanmar’s teenage sensation Tun Min Aung in 165-pound Muay Thai action. The experienced Thai southpaw holding a 103-15-4 professional striking record brings his fearsome left body kick and left hand into this pivotal clash.
The 19-year-old Tun Min Aung, a lethwei specialist who’s 45-2-7, enters with relentless forward pressure and devastating finishing instinct. Coming off a TKO victory, the young Myanmar star represents the next generation looking to dethrone the old guard.
In the featured bout, undefeated British prodigy Fergus Smith makes his ONE debut against Yemen’s Zahran Al-Wesabi in 118-pound Muay Thai action.
Son of legendary coach Richard Smith, he was literally born into Muay Thai excellence at the Bad Company gym and has compiled over 100 junior fights. He faces the fearless Al-Wesabi, who brings Yemen’s version of relentless pressure with his willingness to hurl every Muay Thai technique imaginable from the opening bell.
International talent shines throughout the card as Iraq’s Ayad Albadr faces Petlampun Muadablampang in the co-main event, while Lamsing Sor Dechapan battles undefeated Uzbek phenom Khasan Salomov.
Already-contracted Thai star Kampeetewada Sitthikul takes on Morocco’s Hamza Rachid, with additional fighters from the Philippines, Australia, Iran, Turkey, Georgia, and Japan highlighting ONE Championship’s global reach.
A 165-pounds Muay Thai bout between Tengnueng Fairtex and Tun Min Aung will be headline the event.
