Background
Memories will be made and dreams will be achieved when ONE Fight Night 36: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella II airs live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 3.
In the main event, the best strawweight striker from the East meets the greatest strawweight striker from the West in a high-stakes rematch for the undisputed ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title.
When ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai and former kickboxing titleholder Jonathan Di Bella first met in June 2024, the duo went to war over five grueling rounds for the division’s vacant kickboxing belt.
Though it was a razor-close battle, Thailand’s Prajanchai emerged with the unanimous decision victory, leaving the ring with the gold, and, in the process, handing his Italian-Canadian rival the only loss of his career.
Since that fateful night in Bangkok, a lot has changed. Prajanchai successfully defended his Muay Thai crown, while Di Bella worked his way back up the ladder and claimed the ONE Interim Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship.
Now, all roads lead back to the Thai capital, where these two will look to settle their unfinished business. The Thai superstar wants to attain a more definitive result and prove he is the far superior warrior, while Di Bella is determined to even the score, unify the belts, and avenge his only career blemish.
Plus, in a battle of former ONE World Champions, “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang will stand toe-to-toe with his friend, Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam. This will also mark the final match of Aung La N Sang’s historic MMA career.
A rematch of ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship unification bout between current champion (also a current ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion) Prajanchai P.K.Saenchai and interim champion Jonathan Di Bella is expected to headline the event.
The pairing previously to met at ONE Friday Fights 68 in June 2024, which Prajanchai capture the vacant title by unanimous decision.
