Background

The spectacular lineup for LUX 055 has just been officially announced. The event will take place next Friday, September 27 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and promises to be one of the most exciting nights of the year for mixed martial arts fans.

The leading promoter in the region, LUX Fight League, had already confirmed the main event between two Mexican warriors for the welterweight title, we are talking about Anuar Aburto and Antonio Suárez, and now the rest of the fights that will take place at the CDAM have been revealed.

A great title fight and many other high-caliber fights:

The main event promises to be an intense battle, as Aburto arrives with a solid 8-1 record, with his only loss coming against Raúl Zaragoza, while Suárez, with a 15-9 mark, represents all the experience and challenge the young prospect needs to make an important leap in his career.

However, the action is not limited to the main event, because the promoter also confirmed an explosive co-main event between Nicaraguan Julio “El Nica” Ruiz and Costa Rican Walter Zamora. Ruiz, with a 7-1 record, will be making his third appearance in the LUX cage, where he already has one win and one loss, while Zamora will be making his league debut with the background of having participated in the Latin American edition of The Ultimate Fighter, which adds a special appeal to the confrontation.

The evening will continue with another duel that has already ignited social media: Sergio Barajas vs. Rafael Gutiérrez . Barajas is undefeated with a 5-0 record, while Gutiérrez holds a 6-1 record with just one loss. Both have exchanged statements and promises, making this fight one of the most anticipated due to its intensity.

On the women's side, the home fans will have extra reason to be excited, as Mexican Fernanda Larios will face Argentine Sofía Landi in an international clash that promises technique, character, and a special energy from the stands.

Another notable duel will be Alexandro Bravo versus Axel Osuna. For Bravo, the event in Guadalajara represents an opportunity to return to victory after two consecutive losses to Luis Iván Rodríguez and Jorge Calvo. Osuna, on the other hand, is enjoying the best moment of his career, with three consecutive victories against Samuel Cortés, Ricardo Hussein and Francisco Benítez making this matchup a turning point for both athletes.

The LUX 055 card is rounded out by other talents that guarantee a spectacle, including Brian Ulises López, Venezuelan Luis "El Tigre" Márquez, and several emerging figures who consolidate the promoter's offering. Thus, with high-level fights and protagonists who combine experience, hunger for glory, and heated rivalries, LUX Fight League once again demonstrates why it is the number one MMA promoter in Latin America, confirming that Guadalajara will once again be the capital of mixed martial arts.
