LFA 217 card announced for Minnesota – plus the debut of Gable Steveson!
LFA CEO Ed Soares announced today that the promotion will return to the Land of 10,000 Lakes on Friday, September 12. LFA 217 will feature a high-stakes bantamweight main event as well as one of the most anticipated heavyweight debuts in MMA history. The event marks the twenty-fifth LFA event in the state of Minnesota, with the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel hosting for the twenty-fourth time.
LFA 217: Strong vs. Nobre, takes place Friday, September 12th at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The main event will see a bantamweight showdown between Pedro Nobre and the undefeated Mitch McKee. The co-main event features Olympic wrestling legend Gable Steveson making his professional MMA debut against rising heavyweight Braden Peterson.

Mitch McKee (9-0) enters the bout undefeated, having dispatched every opponent with a mix of explosive wrestling and evolving striking skills.
Pedro Nobre is a 39-year-old Brazilian MMA fighter with a professional record of 21 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws. He's won several fights via knockout or stoppage, but has also finished fights with submissions, including rear-naked chokes and heel hooks.
Gable Steveson (Pro Debut) is one of the most decorated wrestlers in American history, winning Olympic gold in freestyle wrestling at Tokyo 2020 in dramatic fashion. A two-time NCAA Division I national champion and three-time Big Ten champion for the University of Minnesota, Steveson’s transition to MMA has been one of the most anticipated in recent memory.
Braden Peterson (1-0) will look to spoil Steveson’s debut with his own power and experience in the heavyweight division.
A bantamweight bout between undefeated prospect Mitchell McKee and Pedro Nobre is scheduled to headline the event.
